Search Intent Analyzer

See whether a keyword carries informational, commercial, transactional or navigational intent, along with the content format that fits.

Use the tool

What does it do?

This tool compares your query against a Turkish and English seed dictionary. It scores four intent buckets from 0 to 100 and marks the highest as the dominant intent. The output ends with a content-format suggestion for that intent. The dictionary recognises a limited set of patterns such as what is, price, best and login. The goal is to form an intent hypothesis before writing a content brief. The result is not a ranking or volume forecast.

How do you use it?

Type the target query and press Analyze. Read the four bars and the dominant-intent label. Try the 2-4 word phrases a customer would actually type rather than single words. Test variants separately; coffee machine and best coffee machine price do not produce the same result. Compare the output with real queries in Search Console and with the format of the top SERP results.

What are its limits?

Scores come from dictionary matches, not probabilities. Turkish suffixes, synonyms and context are not fully captured; short words can match by accident. The tool does not prove intent; it speeds up the first hypothesis. Check the SERP, competing pages and your own search data before deciding. Your input stays in the browser. A real example

I tested a query with both commercial and transactional signals. The tool found commercial intent dominant while still showing the transactional score.

Example input

Query
best coffee machine price

Example output

  • Commercial: 100
  • Transactional: 67 · Informational: 0 · Navigational: 0
  • Dominant intent: Commercial · Suggestion: "Comparison / review content"

The output reflects the tool's dictionary match on 3 November 2026. Real SERPs may show different result types.

Frequently asked questions

How is search intent actually determined?

Intent is inferred from the query's linguistic and contextual signals. The most reliable method is to inspect the format of pages ranking for that query. Many queries are mixed; commercial and transactional signals can appear together.

What are the four intent types?

Informational intent seeks to understand a topic; commercial research compares options; transactional intent aims at an action such as buying or downloading; navigational intent wants a specific brand or site.

How accurate is the tool for Turkish queries?

The Turkish seed list is limited and does not fully handle suffixes. It catches patterns such as nedir, fiyat and en iyi, but can miss figurative or context-dependent uses. Read the result as a starting hypothesis, not a definitive classification.

How do I use the result in a content brief?

Choose the page type from the dominant intent: guide, comparison, product page or brand page. Then review the headings of the top three results. Add the questions they leave unanswered instead of copying their structure wholesale.

How
Method: scores and format suggestions were matched to the seed dictionary and FORMAT mapping in the same repository's intent.ts file. The example output uses the actual 100 and 67 scores the query receives.
Why
Purpose: to make the intent hypothesis visible before content production. The tool does not replace Search Console or SERP analysis; it gives a starting point to read them faster.
