What does it do?
This tool renders how a page's title, description and URL could appear in a Google search result. The preview updates as you type and shows the 50-60 character window for titles and 120-160 for descriptions. Google's real snippet will not always match this preview. Google can rewrite a title or description from page content, so treat this as a length and readability check, not a prediction.
How do you use it?
Put the page's title tag in the title field, the meta description in the description field and the canonical address in the URL field. The counters change colour when a field goes past its window. Paste the existing copy first and measure it; then shorten sentences rather than individual words. Compare the final version against a live URL in Search Console. Mobile and desktop cut off at different points, so read the same copy at both widths.
What are its limits?
The tool measures character length only. It does not predict click-through rate, ranking or rich results. Google's snippet generation varies by query, page and device. The 60 and 160 character thresholds here are approximations; some languages and result types cut off earlier. This preview was last checked on 3 November 2026.
